Policy - Membership Committee By-Law Home

A Membership Committee consisting or two or more persons may be appointed by the Board. The person acting in the position of the Chair is on the Membership Committee by default unless otherwise specified by the Board.

The Committee shall be chaired by the Chair of the Board unless otherwise specified by the Board. 

The Committee shall, at all times, consist of at least one member who is also a director on the Board. 

In absence of the Board appointing a Membership Committee or the appointed Membership Committee is unable to carry out its duties, the acting Membership Committee shall consist of the Chair of the Board and the Corporation Secretary.  

The Board, at any time, may assume the responsibilities of the Membership Committee for whatever purpose and length of time that the Board deems necessary.

Effective Date. This policy is effective as of April 21, 2025 and supersedes any prior policies regarding Membership Committee.
